where animal adventures and yoga meet
The Solar Plexus is the third chakra and is where we obtain our “gut instinct” and understand personal power.
Smells, sounds, nature and wildlife, food and the elements all connect to each chakra. Foods that benefit the solar plexus chakra are: starches, yellow zucchini, yellow peppers, yukon gold potatoes, lemons.
Some areas of the body associated with the solar plexus are: adrenals, liver, small intestine, digestive and nervous system.
When the solar plexus is balanced we have a connection to our personal power to accomplish what we want.
When the solar plexus is unbalanced we feel a sense of entitlement, doubt, anger and guilt. A “what’s in it for me” attitude.
I’ve had several illuminating meditations at the end of our yoga class, quite moving and uplifting to be honest! Nothing like crying around strangers! Glad I’m not alone! I’ve seen several people just like me!
Never expected to be able to do half the poses and still can’t fully touch the floor every day, but I can sometimes! Better than never having been able to at all!
